The Obie Award-winning National Asian American Theatre Company kicks off their milestone 10th anniversary season with revivals of one-act plays written by Anton Chekhov and Christopher Fry.
The Harmfulness of Tobacco by Chekhov, is a henpecked husband’s comic lament about the futility of his life and the harmfulness of, well, everything, namely his marriage.
A Phoenix Too Frequent by Fry, first written and performed at the Mercury Theatre in London, is about the resurrection of love in the wake of death.
NAATCO, founded in 1990, continues to provide opportunities for Asian American artists to perform western classics and to do so without forcing any Asian references on the text
