About This Show

Playwright Roger Kirby transports Euripedes’s Medea from ancient Greece to contemporary Jerusalem and transforms her into a Muslim and her husband Jason into a Jew in order to examine passion and alienation. In this new interpretation of the classic Greek tragedy, the playwright removes the safety net of time breathing into classic themes of passion, rage, revenge, and pride.
