About This Show

The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) presents the world premiere of Noel Coward’s Long Island Sound. Revolving around an Englishman’s observations and experiences as a guest of the smart crowd on the North Shore, the play began life as a 1947 short story, “What Mad Pursuit,” but was never staged in Coward’s lifetime. Referred to in Coward’s diaries, the play was tracked down by archivist Barry Day who had been granted access to Noel Coward’s unpublished papers in 1999 in connection with the centenary of the author’s birth. Scott Alan Evans directs.

Evening performances begin at 7:00pm on Friday, May 10; Sunday, May 12; and Monday, May 13 (opening night gala.) There is no evening performance on Sunday, May 19. There is an additional performance on Wednesday, May 22 at 2:00pm.
