About This Show

One of American ballet’s most inventive choreographers, James Sewell, and his winning team of dancers light the stage with three New York premieres. Guy Noir: The Ballet, based on the character created by public radio’s Garrison Keillor, features recorded narration by Keillor, a seductive jazz score and film-noir lighting. The captivating Anagram, set to music by Franz Schubert, is a poem of luscious and entrancing neoclassical movement. The abstract and experiential audience favorite Involution explores the flow of energy within the body — and the transformations made possible by the conscious control of that energy.
