Inner Voices

Premieres will present Inner Voices, an evening of three one-act solo musicals

Alexandra Silber stars in Victor Lodato and Polly Pen’s Arlington, about a woman examining her conflicted psyche while awaiting her soldier husband to return from war. Jack Cummings III directs, with music direction by Kenneth Gartman.

Foster performs in Borrowed Dust, with book and lyrics by Martin Moran and music by Joseph Thalken. Jonathan Butterell directs this work about a man returning from his childhood home, where he had to claim and bury the body of his younger brother. Music direction is by Paul Masse.

Arielle Jacobs takes on Farhad or The Secret of Being, featuring book and Lyrics by Nilo Cruz and music by Jim Bauer. The story centers on an Afghan girl raised as a boy who faces the abrupt changes of womanhood when she is plunged into an arranged marriage. Saheem Ali directs, with music direction by Matt Hinkley.
