From Riverdale to Riverhead

Studio Dante presents the world premiere of From Riverdale to Riverhead, by Anastasia Traina, directed by Nick Sandow.

On a wintry day in March prior to the biggest snowstorm of the year, four women set out from the Bronx to visit Louise’s son, Franky, who has been incarcerated at the Riverhead Correctional Facility. As visiting hours end at 6pm sharp, the women find themselves racing against the clock in an overcrowded car, while they brave the elements, each other’s outlandish behavior and battle their own inner demons.

Gradually, Louise’s adult daughter Rosie begins to realize that her mother’s angst stems from far more than this imminent Riverhead reunion. Family secrets, stifled emotions and dangerous tempers lie just beneath the surface.
