About This Show

The New York premiere of Falling Off Broadway, a new play written and performed by David Black, chronicles Black’s journey from surviving his parents to becoming a Broadway producer, where he loses both his money and his mind. Along the way he graduates from opera singer to spy, and from sock salesman to Wall Street stock salesman. Craig Belknap directs.

David Black produced 18 shows on Broadway including George M! starring Joel Grey, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum with Phil Silvers, The Ides of March with Sir John Gielgud, Ready When You Are, CB! with Julie Harris, and The Impossible Years with Alan King. He is the author of two books: The Magic of Theater, based on his popular master class at the New School, and the best seller The Actor’s Audition, now in its 14th printing. David Black is also an artist. His paintings have been enthusiastically received by the public and by critics on both sides of the Atlantic.
