About This Show

Cherry Lane Mentor Project, now in its fifth season, engages emerging playwrights (Fellows) in one-to-one working relationships with accomplished dramatists (Mentors) for an entire theater season. During this period, mentors help the fellows hone their writing skills and respective scripts as each moves toward the final phase- a three-week workshop production. This season’s new playwrights receiving workshop productions are:

Urgent Fury by Allison Moore, mentored by Marsha Norman
Fort Sam Houston, Texas, October 1983. Reagan is in The White House, Air Supply is on the radio, and the Bensons have just been assigned the house next door to the Hutchinsons. But don’t let the regulation lawns fool you: this isn’t the suburbs.
With, in alphabetical order: Patrick Boll, Halley Feiffer, Carol Halstead, Kathryn A. Layng, Peter Scanavino, John Speredakos, Lindsay Wilson

April 9th – 26th:
