About This Show

Bonnie Parker, a play about Clyde Barrow’s better half, opens Off Broadway. The work explores Bonnie’s transformation from teenage wife to desperate fugitive. Outrageous news stories about the lawless lovers captured the minds of Depression-era Americans and inspired eight films, including the classic Bonnie and Clyde (1967).

Playwright-actress Dixie Lee Sedgwick’s show premiered in Texas, where she and director Joseph Black won Best of Dallas-Fort Worth Awards for their efforts. The production has played 16 cities, including a successful showcase at the Blue Heron Arts Center in New York. Ms. Sedgwick will perform an updated script, and joins Mr. Black in producing.
