Tony award winner Priscilla Lopez returns to Luna Stage for the reading of Matthew Lopez's play Tio Pepe.

In this new work, the final in the reading series, Inez Candelaria and her three children are singers, dancers and actors living in 1950's New York who dream of a life as Broadway gypsies. Their dreams are challenged by the reality of the demolition of their apartment building to make way for the new Lincoln Center complex that's being planned for their neighborhood. Set against the backdrop of the golden age of American musicals and bustle of Robert Moses' New York, this play explores the struggle between dreams and reality.

Ms. Lopez will be joined by Chad Hoeppner, Mike Caban, and Keith McDonald.
