WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An evening of one act comedies: Riverside Drive, by Woody Allen, directed by Lou Scarpati is a dark comedy about a homeless genius who has been stalking a screenwriter for weeks, convinced that the man has stolen his idea - in fact, his life - to create a successful movie plot. The two have it out on Riverside Drive while the screenwriter is waiting to meet with his mistress so that he can tell her that he has to go back to his wife.DMV Tyrant, by Christopher Durang, directed by David Russo is a short comedy about the difficulties at the Division of Motor Vehicles when one who has let his driver's license lapse tries to get that license renewed.Funeral Parlor, by Christopher Durang, directed by Lou Scarpati is a short comedy about an uptight widow who meets an eccentric aquaintence of her husband for the first time at her husband's funeral. The stranger, in his own unique way, helps her realize the depth of her emotions.
