WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Bickford Theatre Spins, Swings and Kicks its summer children's theater season with an athletic drama. Dribble... move... shield. Keep your head up. Shoot! "I'll never get the moves right. I'm no good," thinks Colby, a young girl at soccer camp. To inspire her, three camp counselors become historic female athletes: Althea Gibson, a pioneer in amateur tennis and professional golf, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, who excelled at nearly every sport, and Sonja Henie, who was the youngest Olympic gold medalist ice skater until her record was broken by Tara Lipinski in 1998.
