WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The strains of American history -- set to sublime song. Ragtime, The Musical is the Tony-winning adaptation of E.L. Doctorow's panoramic novel -- a musical montage that dramatizes the American experience at the tumultuous beginnings of the 20th century. This sweeping epic weaves together the lives of three fictional American families as well as a supporting cast of famous, real-life figures like J.P. Morgan, Harry Houdini, Booker T. Washington, and Henry Ford.
