WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
How does one stay true to one's self in the apocalypse? Playwright José Rivera probes this question through the lens of absurdist magical realism in his poetry-infused and comically twisted play, Marisol. The story addresses issues of environmentalism and racism, as well as political, social, and moral decay in a world that is uncomfortably close to our own.
