The original cast recording of George Street Playhouse's world premiere, Broadway-bound production of Gettin' the Band Back Together, which played this fall, is now available for purchase. The album can be downloaded digitally from iTunes.

Gettin' the Band Back Together features music and lyrics by Mark Allen, a book by Ken Davenport and The Grundleshotz, and additional material by Sarah Saltzberg. The George Street Playhouse premiere was directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando.

The production, which closed on October 27, starred Heather Brave, Evan Daves, Michelle Duffy, Ryan Duncan, Deidre Goodwin, Christopher Gurr, Mitchell Jarvis, Jay Klaitz, Garth Kravits, Adam Monley, Emily McNamara, Manu Narayan, Tad Wilson, and Brandon Williams.

The story follows Mitch, a 40-year-old recently cut loose from his job on Wall Street. After his financial situation forces him to move back to his childhood home in Sayreville, New Jersey, Mitch reunites with his high school bandmates in a high-stakes battle of the bands.
