Anthony Chisholm, Chuck Cooper, Roslyn Ruff et al. Set for Two River’s Jitney

Two River Theater has announced casting for its production of August Wilson’s Jitney, to run January 31-February 19, with an opening on February 4. Ruben Santiago-Hudson will direct.

The eighth play in Wilson’s 10-play cycle depicting the African-American experience in each decade of the 20th century, the work is set in a makeshift gypsy cab station in the changing community of 1977 Pittsburgh.

The cast will feature Harvey Blanks (Shealy), J. Bernard Calloway (Booster), Anthony Chisholm (Fielding), Chuck Cooper (Becker), Brandon J. Dirden (Youngblood), Roslyn Ruff (Rena), Ray Anthony Thomas (Philmore), James A. Williams (Doub), and Allie Woods (Turnbo).


The creative team will include scenic designer Neil Patel, costume designer Karen Perry, lighting designer Rui Rita, and sound designer Leon Rothenberg. The production will feature original music by Bill Sims Jr.
