Paper Mill Playhouse Celebrates the Arrival of Oliver! With a Coat and "Food, Glorious Food" Drive

The New Jersey theater partners with Jersey Cares for the holiday season.

For the 17th year, Millburn, New Jersey's Tony Award-winning Paper Mill Playhouse will partner with Jersey Cares as a collection site for their winter coat drive. Now through December 29, the closing date for its current production of Oliver!, new and gently used coats can be dropped off at the theater. Paper Mill will also host a "Food, Glorious Food" drive, accepting nonperishable items to be distributed to local food pantries.

"Paper Mill Playhouse is thrilled to partner once again with Jersey Cares for their annual coat drive," said Todd Schmidt, Paper Mill Playhouse's managing director. "When two not-for-profit organizations come together to serve the community, there is true holiday magic."

Take a look at 12-year-old Chance Friedman, one of the Oliver! workhouse boys and the brains behind the "Food, Glorious Food" Drive, as he explains the details of the theater's holiday initiative. How can you resist a face like that?
