Ace Young, Allison Fischer, Jesse JP Johnson, et al. to Join Grease Tour

Former American Idol contestant Ace Young will join the national tour of Grease as Danny when the production plays the Ovens Auditorium December 1-6 in in Charlotte, North Carolina. He will be joined by new company members Laura D’Andre (Rizzo), Allison Fischer (Patty Simcox), Jesse JP Johnson (Doody), and Jamison Scott (Eugene).

The company also features Lauren Ashley Zakrin (Sandy), Will Blum (Roger), Bridie Carroll (Jan), Kate Morgan Chadwick (Frenchy), Kelly Felthous (Marty), Dominic Fortuna (Vince Fontaine), Roxie Lucas (Miss Lynch), David Ruffin (Kenickie)” and Nick Verina (Sonny), as well as Joseph Corella, Preston Ellis, Erin Henry, Ruby Lewis, Dayla Perkins, Mark Raumaker, Mike Russo, Matthew William Schmidt, Christina Sivrich, and Elizabeth Stacey.

Grease is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall and the new production features 4 songs from the1978 film version, including “Sandy,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “Grease” and “You’re the One That I Want. The musical features book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Additional songs from the movie are by Barry Gibb, John Farrar, Louis St. Louis and Scott Simon.

The creative team includes Derek McLane (scenic design), Martin Pakledinaz (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design) and Brian Ronan (sound design).
