Lauren Kennedy, Jason Sharp, et al. to Star in Violet

Complete casting has been announced for the Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy’s production of Brian Crawley and Jeanine Tesori’s musical Violet which is scheduled to run August 17-28 at the Kennedy Theatre in Raleigh, North Carolina. Eric Woodall will direct the production.


In addition to Broadway star Lauren Kennedy in the title role, the production will star Yolanda Rabun (Landlady/Gospel Soloist), Melvin Tunstall III (Flick), Jason Sharp (Monty), David McClutchy (Preacher), Heather Patterson-King (Old Lady/Hotel Singer), Mary Mattison Vallery (Young Violet), Dennis Delamar (Father), Jeffrey Todd Parrot (Billy Dean), Nick DeVito (Leroy Evans/Earl), Hazel Edmond (Music Hall Singer/ Mabel), Jim Dadosky (Bus Driver/Mechanic) and Conner Lillis (Ensemble/Swing).


The creative time includes Jay Wright (music direction), Chris Bernier (set/lighting design), Eric Collins (sound design), Denise Schumaker (costume design), and Will Mikes.
