Justin Long and Evan Rachel Wood to Star in Raleigh Production of Romeo and Juliet

Film stars Justin Long and Evan Rachel Wood will play the title roles in Theatre In The Park’s staging of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, in Raleigh, North Carolina, May 15-17. The production, which will be a benefit for the theater’s education fund, will be directed by Wood’s brother, Ira David Wood IV, and will also feature her father, Ira David Wood III who will play Capulet, opposite Lynda Clark as Lady Capulet.

The cast also features David Henderson (Friar Lawrence), Rasool Jahan (The Nurse), Michael Murray (Tybalt), John McIlwee (Montague), Andrea Schulz Twiss (Lady Montague), Matthew Rubolino (Benvolio), Rob Rainbolt (Gregory), James Hampton Rowe (Sampson), James Miller (Paris), D. Anthony Pender (Prince Escalus), Tim Caudle (Peter), Samuel Whisnant (Abraham), Jackson Bloom (Balthazar), Brent Simpson (Friar John), and Mattney Beck, Emily Gardenhire, Rita Glynn, Mike Raab, and Bridget Russell.

Long’s film credits include He’s Just Not That Into You and Galaxy Quest. Wood’s film credits include Thirteen, Across the Universe, and The Wrestler. She has publicly stated that she will play Mary Jane Watson in the forthcoming Broadway musical, Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark.
