In November, kids can enjoy In the Land of the Grasshopper Song (November 16 - December 2, Magic Theatre) and Tales of Brer Rabbit (November 17, Sunnyvale Community Center). The first is a true story based on the adventures of two women who set out from the East Coast in 1908 to be "field matrons" for the Karuk Indian Tribe of Northern California. They were the only white women in the sixty-mile stretch of territory and left after two years with a great respect for the people they lived among. Brer Rabbit also invites you to journey back in time, but offers a light-hearted look at the wonderful stories of Joel Chandler Harris.
