John Lithgow and Melanie Griffith to Announce Tony Nominations at Sardi’s on May 12

John Lithgow and Melanie Griffith will announce the 2003 Tony Award nominations on Monday, May 12 at 8:30am at Sardi’s (234 West 44th Street).

The Tony-winning star of last season’s Sweet Smell of Success, Lithgow is currently off the Broadway boards but recently made guest appearances in The Play What I Wrote and will be narrating and performing in Carnival of Animals with the New York City Ballet this spring. Film star Griffith (Working Girl) is set to play Roxie Hart in the Broadway revival Chicago this summer.

The 57th annual Antoinette Perry Awards (a.k.a. “the Tonys) are a joint venture of the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing, which founded the Tonys in 1947.
