Boston’s Lyric Stage Announces 2003-2004 Season

They are Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, the comic musical revue conceived by Howard Crabtree and Mark Waldrop, with sketches and lyrics by Waldrop and music by Dick Gallagher; Lanford Wilson’s Book of Days, which deals with intolerance and the politics of community theater; Christopher Durang’s Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge, a fractured take on the Charles Dickens classic; Noël Coward’s violently funny romantic comedy Private Lives; The Spitfire Grill, a musical about forgiveness and hope, adapted from Lee David Zlotoff’s film by James Valcq (music and book) and Fred Alley (lyrics and book); and Michael Frayn’s riotous backstage comedy Noises Off. One additional play and the specific dates and directors for each production will be announced by June 1.
