The musical, which features a book by Chris D'Arenzio, focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. The score includes the hit songs of iconic rockers Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more.
As previously reported, Broadway star Constantine Maroulis will reprise the role of Drew, and MiG Ayesa will play Stacee Jaxx. The cast will also include Nick Cordero as Dennis, Rebecca Faulkenberry as Sherrie, Patrick Lewallen as Lonny, Teresa Stanley as Justice, Casey Tuma as Regina, Bret Tuomi as Hertz, and Travis Walker as Franz.
The ensemble will include Angela Brydon, Joey Calveri, Daniel Luis Domenech, Lindsay Janisse, Sean Jenness, Holly Laurent, Lauralynn McClelland, Rashad Naylor, Josh Sassanella, and Erika Shannon.
The creative team includes Beowulf Boritt (set), Gregory Gale (costumes), Jason Lyons (lighting), Peter Hylenski (sound), Zachary Borovay (projections). Ethan Popp provided music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations, with original arrangements by David Gibbs.
Ayesa, who will play Stacee Jaxx, starred in Broadway's Burn the Floor. His many other theater credits include We Will Rock You, Buddy, Rent, and Grease.
Maroulis is currently starring as Drew in the Broadway production of Rock of Ages at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.His other theater credits include The Wedding Singer on Broadway, as well as Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and Jesus Christ Superstar.
