Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts has announced principal casting for Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore, which will be the company's opening night presentation on June 25 at 8:30pm. Steve Tharp will direct the performance, which will be conducted by Will Crutchfield and feature set and costume design by Paul Carey.

The piece is a satire on the arrival of modernity, bureaucracy and democratic ideals to the Royal Navy of Queen Victoria's era.

The company will feature Georgia Jarman (Josephine), Vanessa Cariddi (Little Buttercup), Robin Flynn (Cousin Hebe), Robert McPherson (Ralph Rackstraw), Jorell Williams (Captain Corcoran), Scott Bearden (Dick Deadeye), Jason Plourde (Sir Joseph Porter), Nicholas Masters (Bill Bobstay), and Jeffrey Beruan (Bob Becket), along with the Orchestra of St. Luke's.
