The show, which features Johnson and his 11 fellow cast members -- including the puppets Bob and Squeaky -- will also make stops in Albuquerque, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Princeton, New Jersey. Additional cities are currently being scheduled.
Johnson, perhaps the country's most famous ventriloquist, first gained fame on the hit sitcom Soap. Jay Johnson: The Two and Only! had a run Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theatre in 2004 and later played San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston before arriving at the Helen Hayes Theatre last September, where it ran for two months.
In their TheaterMania review of the Broadway production, Barbara & Scott Siegel wrote: "This production shows off [Johnson's] skills within the context of a graceful autobiographical arc that is packed with laugh-out loud comedy and tearful poignancy."
Don't show this again.
