About This Venue

This theater is located in a cast-iron building built in 1874 with a French Second Empire style. This European feel is perfect for the shows produced by its resident company, the Jean Cocteau Repertory. This troupe invokes the spirit of large European ensembles who produce innovative and daring classical works. The Bouwerie has a seating capacity of 140.
