Programming at the Y is creative and diverse: lectures, poetry readings, modern dance performances, and concerts of classical, chamber, jazz and cabaret music. Many events take place in the Kaufmann Concert Hall, one of the city's best auditoriums. The Hall's mahogany panels are lined with the names of artists, prophets and philosophers.


The Y is also home to the Unterberg Poetry Center, one of the city's principal literary institutions.
