Synopsis


Faust Harrison Pianos in conjunction with National Public Radio, The Luce Group and Jed Distler, will present an historic twelve-hour non-stop Pianothon to raise funds for Tsunami relief through donations to the charitable organization Save the Children. This once in a lifetime event will bring together 40 world-class pianists from both Classical and Jazz idioms. Classical pianists scheduled to perform include: Ursula Oppens, Margaret Leng Tan, Jerome Lowenthal, Seymour Lipkin, Lincoln Mayorga, Simon Mulligan, Kathy Supove, Eduardus Halim, Jeffrey Swann, Sahan Arzruni, Joel Fan, Soheil Nasseri, Dang Thai Son, Jenny Lin, Jed Distler, and Michael Harrison. Jazz pianists scheduled to perform include: Jacky Terrasson, Kenny Werner, Joanne Brackeen, Steve Kuhn, Benny Green, Hilton Ruiz, Don Friedman, Vijay Iyer, Frank Kimbrough, David Hazeltine, John Stetch, Pete Malinverni Stuart Isacoff, plus cabaret icon Steve Ross.

Tickets for this 12-hour event are available in two seatings: Noon or 6:00PM, and people may come and go at any time during each seating. Limited seating is also at the door for $25 per seating beginning at 11:30AM the day of the event.
