Synopsis


A seeming bumpkin from the Carpathian Mountains ultimately reveals himself as the great 18th Century spiritual master, the Baal Shem Tov. Supported by his beloved soul-mate, Chana, he defies Church, State, and Satan himself to save his oppressed people.
