Synopsis
Glass Slipper Theatricals, Inc., Joria Productions, and Wings Theatre present The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a family-friendly Off-Off-Broadway musical twist on Washington Irving?s classic 18th century tale.
In Tarrytown in 1789, the ability to quote Shakespeare and an uncanny knowledge of the paranormal are hard to come by in a young man. Fortunately, Ichabod Crane has all of these qualities, and what better match for him than the most popular and mysterious girl in town, Katrina Van Tassel. The only problems being that she is engaged to Brom Bones and the world of Sleepy Hollow is becoming more dangerous by the minute. At a party one evening at the Van Tassel farm, the whole town waits as Ichabod struggles to win the girl and save the town.
Book and lyrics are by Meg Belviso and music is by Eric Baum. The cast includes Vale Rideout as Ichabod Crane, Kelly Jeanne Grant as Katrina Van Tassel and Brian Eric Stivale as Brom Bones (all members of the Actors Equity Association ? AEA Showcase). The production is directed by John DeBlass, with musical direction by the composer, Eric Baum, and choreography by Maria Zannieri.
