A New 42nd Street project presents:
Taoub
Taoub Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Like the intoxicating scent of exotic spices, Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger will transport you to a far away fantasia. Float along the star-kissed Moroccan skyline as an enormous flowing sheet (called a taoub in Arabic) transforms before your eyes into a majestic gown and more. With evocative staging and aerial exploits that conjure uncanny images of mountainous and vast terrain, Taoub is a mélange of mesmerizing music and surreal imagery. Blending ancient acrobatic traditions from the beaches of Tangier with contemporary technology and design, this lyrical exploration of North African culture, from the creative team behind Plan B and IJK, is full of "exuberant daring." - The Telegraph (UK)
