Synopsis


"The manatee moves in slow-moving rivers, slowly." A collaboration with poet Anne Waldman, artist Mimi Gross, cellist/singer Serena Jost, percussionist Robert DiPietro and dancers Douglas Dunn, Liz Filbrun, Jean Freebury, Paul Singh, Christopher Williams. A dynamic, fierce, and moving piece interweaving text, movement, sound, and projected film, the work is drawn from Waldman's critically acclaimed book Structure of the World Compared to a Bubble (2004).
