Benchmark Artists presents:
Sunday on the Rocks
Sunday on the Rocks Tickets and Information
Synopsis
On a beautiful Sunday morning in mid-October, three housemates decide to have scotch for breakfast in this play by the author of Spike Heels, The Family of Mann, and Loose Knit. Elly is pregnant and considering an abortion, Jen is being harassed by a co-worker who is obsessed with her, and Gayle just feels a bit lost. Their problems are compounded by a fourth roommate, Jessica, a religious young woman who has little compassion for their confused attempts to make sense of life in the '90s. As they drink, joke and argue, it becomes clear how difficult it is to make a moral decision in an increasingly complex world.

Review: RE:About Benchmark Artists by bma_1306292
MISSION:
Our mission is to give birth to shows that are created and not produced - the core of our activities stem from art rather than business - as such, we treat each project like a blank canvass and each member as paints and brushes that create every masterpiece. We plan organically. We use our hearts and guts to create. And, throughout the whole process, each member is involved.
In alignment to this mission are our two main objectives:
To provide our members a venue to express and showcase their individual raw talents professionally in a New York theater setting.
To provide our community a superior theater experience by creating art that evokes untapped human emotions and stimulates intellectual thoughts.
VISION:
Our vision is to make BenchMark Artists a leader in providing Raw Theater to the New York Community. We aim to house talented actors that dig deep in their guts the raw talents they have within and bring this into the shows that we create. We see our theater company as a provider of original pieces that touches the inner core of our humanity. We will provide live theater that is both gut wrenching and thought provoking.
