Synopsis

Whales, weather, and the indomitable human spirit... Three natural forces more immense than our own lives converge in this world premiere event written and performed by The WHITNY Group.

ACT I: Left alone in the Museum of Natural History, a child's imagination has free reign. As one boy struggles to get out, he unleashes his peculiar reality onto the landscape around him. All the while, a God-like whale looms perilously above... In this original work, award-winning writer Jimmy Maize delivers the imaginative first installment of a whale-fable trilogy.

ACT II: Choreographers Erin Beery and Ricky Price spearhead a multimedia movement creation exploring our relationship to the weather and its effect on our pedestrian lives. Utilizing structured improvisation, found texts, original music and folklore, this piece is a lighthearted and visually arresting take on an everyday force.

ACT III: In this collaboratively created piece, award winning playwright Jordan Seavey (CollaborationTown) and director Ben Kerrick take a caustically funny look at contemporary relationships and the expectations before, during and after meeting someone new.

A wine reception will be included with the Friday performance.

Appropriate For Ages: 13+
