Russian Red Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Russian Red is the pseudonym of Lourdes Hernández (Madrid, 1985), an indie and folk singer-songwriter. She has been a sensation ever since her arrival on the scene, thanks to the word of mouth and her myspace (over 1.5m hits). The Spaniard has appeared at the most prestigious festivals in her country, including the Primavera Sound (Barcelona) and Benicassim (Castellón), and other events throughout Europe. In 2008 she released her first album, "I Love your Glasses," feted by the specialised critics: it received the Pop-Eye Award for Best Debut Album and three nominations for the Music Awards (Spain): "Best Breakthrough Songwriter," "Best Breakthrough Artist" and "Best Alternative Pop Album." Tonight Russian Red makes her U.S. debut at Joe's Pub.
