Synopsis
Three gay men, a widow, and a funeral set the stage to answer the questions - can we escape our past? What happens when we have to confront the lies we tell ourselves? Running not only tackles the issue of coming out about ones sexuality, but also what everyone must face when confronting the truth about ourselves. The Milk Can Theatre Company has teamed up with the Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC), a not-for-profit, volunteer-supported and community-based organization committed to national leadership in the fight against AIDS, for a special benefit performance of Running. Expanding The Milk Can Theatre Company's definition of community beyond Off-Off Broadway, on May 7th the Company donates a percentage of ticket sales to GMHC.
