Synopsis

Sam Mendes' (American Beauty) latest is based on the Richard Yates' novel revealing dead-end domestic conformity in 1950s suburban Connecticut. Once passionate, full of aspirations, and critical of those who've succumbed to the nuclear family ideal, Frank and April Wheeler (DiCaprio and Winslet) find themselves befalling a similar fate. In a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage and themselves, they decide to drop everything and plan a move to Paris. Q&A with Sam Mendes following the film.
