Synopsis

The one and only Pilobolus returns to The Joyce Theater this summer with its wildly popular annual summer season, featuring three different programs.

The first program features Pilobolus, the dance celebrating its 35th anniversary. The second program features Memento Mori, a sweetly driven duet about youth-driven fantasies of growing older -- and perhaps a bit wiser. Music includes the ethereal sounds of Björk. The third program features Prism, which explores the theme of how one maintains their identity in a relationship or a group. In this sleek, urban world of film noir mystery, dancers disappear into darkness and re-emerge in pools of light. Dancers pulsate to the music of Coldplay.
