Synopsis

Thespian Production presents a showcase of four original works of one acts comedy and drama from various playwrights.

Backstage Pass by Nick Robideau
Teenager Amy is obsessed with rock star Derek Genaro, and will stop at nothing to get backstage to meet her idol. When she finally gets her wish, though, Amy quickly discovers she may have gotten more than she bargained for. Amy and Derek grapple with issues of image, celebrity, and the implications of passion as they each discover what they truly want from each other.

Menu Driven by Kyle Spearman
Clarita, a professional business consultant, stops by an outside café in NYC. There she intrudes on a man named Manny. Each menu has a story of a key point in time which had an impact in her life.

Nkita by Rosebud Ben-Oni
As Naomi heads off to an unidentified South American jungle to bring justice to all, animal-loving roommate Ann doubts that she'll go through with it. But when Naomi wants to take along the dog, an argument between the two erupts and brings the real issue to the forefront: finding a purpose in a era where irony trumps idealism.

Where's the Soup? by Robert Anthony
Where's the Soup? Is an absurd look at three down and out characters who attempt to have soup together. Tom and Nick live in a shabby apartment. Nick has invited his friend, Harry, to stay with them until he finds a job.
