Synopsis
As in years past, Miscast 2007 brings together the best and brightest Broadway talent as they perform songs from roles in which they would never be cast. This year's event is in honor of producers Kevin McCollum and Jeffrey Seller for their commitment to producing innovative works that reach new audiences both on and off-Broadway.
The producing duo's credits include Rent, Avenue Q, De La Guarda, Baz Luhrmann's La Boheme and In the Heights, among many others. All proceeds go directly to MCC's production, play development, education and outreach programs.
The talent roster for this one-of-a-kind theatrical evening is a who's who of the theatre, including favorites Norbert Leo Butz (Tony Award winner, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Raul Esparza (Company), Ana Gasteyer (Saturday Night Live and Wicked), Jane Krakowski (Tony Award-winner, Nine; current star of 30 Rock), LaChanze (Tony Award-winner, The Color Purple), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), Josh Strickland (Tarzan) and others to be announced.
