Synopsis

Feinstein's at the Regency presents a brand new show from Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Manchester. Celebrating her return to songwriting and recording after a ten year hiatus, her show and CD, When I Look Down That Road, features new compositions with distinguished writers such as Paul Williams, Rupert Holmes and many more.

When I Look Down That Road is Melissa's commitment to a new creative method of stripping aside the extraneous elements in order to get to what really matters: the heart of the song. "After All This Time", the first single from her album has reached #8 on the Adult Contemporary Chart. The CD also features a guest appearance by Keb' Mo on guitar. The Dallas Morning News praised the new CD as an "absolutely beautiful return from the talented artist that brought us the classics 'Midnight Blue' and 'Come In From the Rain' and quit recording a decade ago to raise her children." Performing Songwriter Magazine described it as a "brilliantly understated, intimately soulful collection." She is currently being featured in the PBS series "Profiles of a Performing Artist."
