"Walls" tells the story of a young woman's efforts to renovate her recently deceased father's house. Her quest is complicated by the sudden reappearance of an old flame, whose abrupt departure from her life she has never forgiven - or understood.
Set in a fictional European nation, "The Quotable Assassin" examines the relationship between a jailed revolutionary condemned to die and the elegant lady novelist whose fascination with him may exceed the bounds of professional curiosity.
Both plays display a defiant romanticism in the face of bleak realities, and a lively sense that though we may have abandoned hope, hope has not necessarily abandoned us.
