Laurie Anderson Homeland
Laurie Anderson Homeland Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Laurie Anderson, described by The Boston Globe as the "reigning performance artist of her time," returns to the Festival with her most sophisticated production to date, Homeland, a "concert poem" driven by the political urgency of contemporary American culture.
Weaving a conceptual sonic tapestry through spoken word, music and technology, Anderson, backed by a complement of top-notch New York musicians, offers audiences an editorial narrative on the delivery of information and control, the push and pull of freedom and fear, and today's omnipresent context of war. Homeland is a mesmerizing and intriguing turn on the reflection of life in art.
