Synopsis

La Vie en Rose featuring Soprano, Doreen Dixson Gamell and Pianist, Albert Ahronheim is A Gala benefit for Theater Ten Ten.

"Doreen Dixson is a dynamic singer of great range, depth, power and subtlety. She is a singer to remember." "There is a spark in Ms. Dixson that one finds missing in many singers, and from the moment she begins her performance she doesn't let you forget it." - Showbusiness Weekly

Theater Ten Ten announces its Benefit Gala 2009! The evening will be in a cabaret setting with refreshments, fine wine, and a raffle! The evening also includes a reception with the artists following the performance. The subject is love! Join Doreen Dixson Gamell (www.doreengamell.com) soprano and Albert Ahronheim, pianist, for an evening of song inspired by the vagaries of love. La Vie en Rose will delight with old favorites and little-known gems. From the many moods of American musical theatre, including songs by Stephen Sondheim and Kurt Weill, to the burning love songs made popular by Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel, to the melodies of Poulenc inspired by popular French chansons of his day - enjoy a romantic feast of song!
