Set in Baltimore in 1948, this perfect marriage of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew and Cole Porter's witty, sophisticated lyrics and unforgettable melodies is considered one of the greatest musicals ever produced, and probably Porter's finest. It's a play-within-a-play where the actors and the characters they play mirror each other's lives. Who's going to get what they want? Will Lois get her Bill to settle down and stop gambling?
