Synopsis
Silvina Sterin Pensel of El Diario says Katrina: A Whole Lotta Water is "Immortalized in theater." This eye-opening 90-minute hip hop multimedia musical one-act play examines the psychological and emotional impact of Hurricane Katrina on the Survivors. It features real survivor stories and atrocities, and stars Hip-Hop Artist/Activist "Shakka" performing his popular Katrina song "So Much Water" and other original songs such as "Hell" and "Wasn't We Human" with original soundtrack by writer/director/actor Emmitt Thrower. It also features a multimedia presentation alongside performances. This tribute to the survivors includes a special appearance and performance by playwright/actor Emmitt Thrower. Arlee Chadwick is the choreographer.
