Synopsis
A classic Chinese legend reincarnated as a multi-cultural theatrical experience, Journey to the West combines elements of Peking Opera, kabuki, modern dance and martial arts to tell the story of a scholar's messianic quest across Asia in search of mankind's salvation. With a varied and exciting score by the writing team of Ace and the musical director of Cirque du Soleil's "KA" in Las Vegas.
Part of the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
