Synopsis
The Flying Machine presents the world-premiere of its newest work, Journey to the End of the Night.
Journey to the End of the Night is adapted from the life and best-known novel of the 20th-century existentialist author Louis-Ferdinand Céline, a revered and controversial writer who suffered enmity and rejection for his political beliefs during World War II. The Flying Machine's production of Journey to the End of the Night intersects the story of its author, Céline, with that of his antihero, Ferdinand Bardamu, during the First World War and its aftermath. His later dubiously motivated actions, however, may have erased this hard won artistic title and closed the history books on one of this century's greatest literary gems.
Richard Crawford is the featured performer in this solo-play adaptation of Journey to the End of the Night.
Box Office Hours: One hour prior to show time.
