Synopsis

The world's most popular comic opera, The Barber of Seville, is brought to life in a flamboyantly funny yet tenderly romantic staging by Richard Cassell. Join the cast for wine and cheese to commemorate the introduction of Italian Opera in America, in 1825, by the Manuel Garcia Company, starring Maria Malibran as Rosina and her father, Manuel, as the Count Almaviva. Enjoy the broad comedy, gorgeous melodies, thrilling coloratura, and hilarious scheming of Rossini's Figaro.
